What do you mean by “sustainable pine ply”?
The wood in our ply panels originate from certified, sustainably managed plantation forests. No native forest wood or genetically modified trees are used to produce our pine ply.

What is the wood finished with?
We use Osmo oil, which is a durable, all natural, eco-friendly and food-safe wax/oil mixture. The product is made of natural vegetable oils that are 100% non-toxic. Once cured, the surface is very water resistant: water tightly beads on the surface which can be simply wiped off meaning little or no maintenance is required.

How are your bowls made?
Our bowls are individually slipped cast by hand. Because our bowls are not machine made, no two bowls are exactly alike.

Are your bowls dishwasher safe?
Yup!

Is your clay and glaze safe?
Our earthenware is 100% lead free and 100% non toxic.

Do you accept custom orders?
Yes! Contact us with your specifications and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Why don’t you make elevated feeders that are taller than 8”?
The 2 lower height options available for our stands have been carefully considered to offer a comfortable and natural 'prey' eating position. While we will consider custom dimensions, we do not make tall feeders as they can in some very rare cases cause digestion issues, sometimes serious, in some larger barrel-chested breeds.

Can I see Howl & Home products in person?

Why does it take 1-2 weeks to produce my order?
Because each item is made-to-order, we rarely have stock on hand. We take great care in creating each piece, from beginning to end, and never rush the process.
